  1. When you close a website where you are logged in there are 2 options:
    1. The session is killed and the next time you visit that website you have to enter your credentials again.
    2. The website keeps you logged in even after you close it, until you manually log out.

    An alternative to the second option is the website will keep you logged in for a certain amount of time. Here’s an example. https://login.yahoo.com

    Thanks for your comment Vlad. Users are not familiar with the technicalities of this behaviour so this particular example ideally needs a clearer explanation. The Yahoo link that you provided shows a much better example. Thankyou for including it :)
